Is anybody else suspicious of the way Fat Sam has been talking about Martins - to me it's a thinly velied attempt at letting the footballing world that the striker IS AVAILABLE for £13m. He wants rid if you ask me.

IMHO Edmilson is abysmal. I don't know how he has managed to hang in at Barcelona for so long. I think he'd be poor in the Premiership. If there is any truth in the story then I'd guess Fat Sam would hope to use him like Campo at Bolton but at least the ludicrously-coiffured one has a physical side to his game. Edmilson must be one of the least physical centre-backs/holding midfielders ever. Error-prone, weak, not especially fast and poor on the ball.

Other than that, a good buy.
      .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

We saw what Big Sam got out of Ivan Campo whos much older and Edmilsons a better player anyway.

Gudjohnsen is decent aswell, they are improving no doubt Newcastle.

It's very easy to improve when you start off as ****e.

Edmilson will be a liability in the Premiership.

Gudjohnsen is undoubtedly a talented player, but not consistent enough. They've already sold Parker, Martins looks to be on his way, to my mind there's no way you can call that an improvement.
What have I learned, Mr Mackay? Three things. One - bide your time. Two - keep your nose clean. And three - don't let the *******s grind you down

Absolutely mate. He couldn't make it more obvious if he tried.
