Well if the Gonzales case is anything to go by, they should refuse him his work Permit.Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

Anyone who can't see that Anderson is a better bet for a work permit due to CL experience and being in the Brazil squad is being a bit daft if you ask me. The system isn't perfect but realistically Anderson always had a better chance than Gonzalez and probably rightfully so.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostToo late mate, he got his ****ing work permit this afternoon. the problem with gonzalez was chile being out of the top 70 in the world, thats why we couldnt get the work permit, although i dont see why anderson got one so fast even chelsea struggled getting one for alex.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostHow many professional games has Anderson played in his life? Gonzalez had more international caps and more appearances in a much better league.“At a football club, there’s a holy trinity - the players, the manager and the supporters. Directors don’t come into it. They are only there to sign the cheques”. Bill Shankly

I think that his youth more than counter acts his slightly lower levels of experience and the differential of Brazil vs Chile means a comparison on international record really has little impact on whether either should be made an exceptional case (which both would have been if accepted).
Personally I would have allowed both but I think Anderson had a stringer case."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."
