Well if the Gonzales case is anything to go by, they should refuse him his work Permit.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

Anyone who can't see that Anderson is a better bet for a work permit due to CL experience and being in the Brazil squad is being a bit daft if you ask me. The system isn't perfect but realistically Anderson always had a better chance than Gonzalez and probably rightfully so.

How many professional games has Anderson played in his life? About 20?

Gonzalez had more international caps and more appearances in a much better league.

the problem with gonzalez was chile being out of the top 70 in the world, thats why we couldnt get the work permit, although i dont see why anderson got one so fast even chelsea struggled getting one for alex.

Comparative club records when the permits were reviewed:

                Gonzalez
                02-02 Universitad Catolica 6 Games (-)
                03-03 Universitad Catolica 7 Goals, 28 Games (-)
                04-04 Universitad Catolica 1 Goals, 8 Games (-)
                04-05 Albacete 5 Goals, 25 Games (-)

                - No european experience

                Age:21

                Anderson

                04-04 Gremio Porto Alegre 1 Goals, 6 Games (-)
                05-05 Gremio Porto Alegre (-)
                05-06 FC Porto 3 Games (-)
                06-07 FC Porto 2 Goals, 15 Games

                3 Games (Champions League)

                Age: 19

I think that his youth more than counter acts his slightly lower levels of experience and the differential of Brazil vs Chile means a comparison on international record really has little impact on whether either should be made an exceptional case (which both would have been if accepted).

Personally I would have allowed both but I think Anderson had a stringer case.

This could have become very tedious.
