Agbonlahor, Young, Moore? All exciting, young fast players.

As for the long ball posts, did O'Neill not adopt an attacking philosophy at the start of last year, using three up front before the team picked up a few injuries?

Carew looked decent at times and has only been here half a year, Young looked very dangerous during the European Championships, Reo Coker has ability, Harewood is, ok Harewood is ****.

Think we should wait until this season ends before judging O'Neill.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I reckon it was worth a punt on Harewood - obviously with all the turmoil at West Ham last year he had a stinker, but he'd been decent previous to that.

To be honest, AV are never gonna attract a 'big name' striker, so if he scores 10+ goals in the league for them, it's a good deal.

Personally, I'd have thought Man City would have been in for him.

City are apparently in for Zlatan from Inter.

Wow, they are really setting their sights high, if they could sign him, he would be a massive signing for them.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

More chance of Ronaldinhop joining Newcastle than Zlatan joining City. Never going to happen.

it must be hard to get good players to go to a club like villa.

look how are the chavs found it to get good players when the russian took over first.

and tbh he has a shockingly small squad at villa.

i think harewood is an improvement on what they have at the moment

He did alright though at Celtic, he ended Rangers attempt to win 10 consecutive Scottish League titles, but winning a league and cup double. Celtic haven't looked back since.

I think Harewood will do well to be honest, he is a good physical player when he gets his head right. He has been very good 2 out of 3 of the last seasons and last year was not alone in being crap at West Ham last year. I suspect he will mostly be a backup to Carew so in that context I think that it will be a good signing - they need relatively experienced backup to players like Young and Agbonlahor.
