I've gone for Vassel in the big way, think Sveen will do things with MC this year... but on the otherhand he could struggle I have not been blown away with any of there signings thus far

I have 5 slots left ... I am debating wither to miss out on the sub goal keeper altogether ... I have Pepe so I am well and truly sorted for now ... picked him up for 4.5 million ... signing of the competition I have to say

I was thinking of punting for these players - with most of my change going on Vassel

M Schwarzrer GK MID - Best Goal keeper nobody has right now
D Vassel ST MC - The most dangerous looking striker on that list
S Kalou ST CH - Looked decent towards the end of the season
YP Lee FB TOT One of the best attacking FBs in the lg
W Brown CB SCUM ( think he might just take Uglys spot this season)

Ok just had a quick look.

Schwarzer is a good keeper...im just not sure about Borough this season. Isaksson had a massive rep in Sweden and France before he moved to City....if they sure up their D, as they looked to have done he could be OK as a second keeper.

Fullbacks- YP Lee or Halford for me. I'd be inclined to go for Halford....because he is known as a goalscoring fullback.

CB's- Im surprised Steven Taylor is still on the board, Newcastle should go alright this year. Jaidi also used to be a solid buy when he ws at Bolton...scored a few goals. Also Ryan Nelson is a solid CB, and i expect Blackburn to be right up in the top half.

Mids- One name stands out for me. Giles Barnes. The kid is a cracking player, and although injured he should be Derby's best player. David Dunn is an intriguing option too...he can rack up points, but his injury troubles have blighted him lately. I like Smertin from Fulham aswell, he is more than capable of scoring some goals. Gary O'Neil from Pompey would also be a solid option. N'Zogbia was quality the season before last too, if he moves to Fulham he could be a good option.

Strikers- I dont like Vassell at all mate. City have brought in Bianchi and it looks like Bojanov is coming too...Vassell will be third choice. I like Steve Howard TBH, he banged in goals for Derby last season, and he should be more than capable of knocking a few in this year. Derby play quite an attacking style...so they could score a few. Im not sure about Kalou, he is a good player....but i just dont see him getting many games.

What i would do is get a few cheapies like, Halford, Taylor, Howard, Barnes and Dunn, to fill out the squad.........and then wait for a new big name signing, you will have heaps of cash lef then to splurge on him.

BTW has someone already picked up Santa Cruz, or hasn't he been included int he sheet yet?? Also keep an eye out for Bojanov when he completes his move to City. He was a real talent at Lecce, and could single handed;y destroy teams...he could do very well with City.

Nice one mate ... I think you are probably right ... why waste 18 million on Vass when I will have more cash than every other player in the lg for any new top signings. At the moment the Player list is locked .. unitil we all complete our squads .. truth be told I am quit happy with my starting 11.. So i think the best strategy is to take your advice ...... again..... and put in minimum bids for a selection of players till I fill up and wait for the new list to come out .... I will be the Chelsea of my Lg and can pick and choose which of the new players I want.... These auctions are probally going to go on till next Friday anways .. hopefully there will be one or two new big signings for me to snap up

So mate here is my full squad, there are 4 teams including mine with one more player 1 get, nearly everybody has spent all of there cash except for 4 players 9, 11, 12 and then me with 18 million.

The transfer window started on the 25th of July, so anybody signed since then has not be available and will be as soon as all the teams are full, me thinks I'll have my pick : ) need another striker or 2
