£150k is a fortune in my eyes, its plenty for a footballer, how many hours do they actually work? most of it is half days is it not?

A footballer is paid £1k - £150k a week, i bet you most nurses dont get £1k a week.

First of all i've nothing against nurses or anyone else providing a good service to society (unless their a manc) but nurses choose to be a nurse, a fireman chooses to be a fireman, they all could/can go and do something else which pays dramatically more, the difference being it might not be a job they enjoy or there is some pressure involved

I do though think that players are paid too much but that just stems from jealousy that someone you don't respect for being a knob, a bit thick or just someone who isn’t a nice person earns a great deal more than you

of course, but i think the point being made is that if there was any sense in this world then people would be paid according to their benefit to mankind.

its a bonkers old planet where a lipstick salesman, for instance, will earn massively more than a nurse - and a telling lesson in what our society values.
