    Martin Jol

Dont know if its been mentioned in here before, I very infrequently post or read in here, but something has to be said about Martin Jol.

In my humble opinion he is a ****ing ace manager and has turned spurs from nobodies into the team people are/were talking about realistically breaking into the top 4.

Now all of a sudden he should be sacked. I swear to god if spurs sack him this side of christmas I will personally go and smack the chairman in the mouth, its absolutely ridiculous that the guy has been booed off after 2 defeats.

**** spurs have no class :whatever:

First off... 2k posts does a lurker make you not.

On the point you raised... I think he is a good manager as well, however he has been heavily backed in the market and if spurs slipped too far the the chairmen would be well within his rights to give him the axe.

All that said I think only Bent has played out of all his new signings... and noone is talking about sacking slur alex yet

He's certainly a good manager but he is a long way below the top 4 managers and I think that is why Spurs are upset. Look at the team he sent out against Everton - madness IMO and he seems to make these odd tactical decisions a lot. With him in charge I think it unlikely that Spurs will ever get CL football.

Having said that he is clearly a good judge of a player and a good coach as he has had some very nice attacking football.

It is ridiculous however you look at it for fans to boo their manager after only two games.

He buys too many young players and too many at once IMO, none of the players have a environment to develop there potential at Tottenham which is why the will fail unless he does something about it.

Sorry..meant this particular section of EST.....

Anyway, I still think it would be madness to even think of axeing him....give the guy a chance, wasnt so long ago spurs had that french prick and he done a fine job didnt he?

Class will out and I have no reason to think Spurs wont be top 6, probably 5th, and pushing Arse for 4th.

To be honest I couldnt give a **** about spurs, I just have to admit a liking for Jol and his attitude and talent and the way he makes his teams play.

Jol certainly looks pretty hacked off about the way things are going. Is the little bloke Robbie Keane?

              .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I think he could do with buying a decent midfielder.

What they missed the last seasons is a playmaker and he still hasn't signed one but it looks like they will get one if they sign Guti.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I think he's being exposed as a not very good manager at all. He says the right things, comes across quite well but he's tactically abysmal, and his random buying policy leaves an awful lot to be desired.

Apparently he's a top class coach. Perhaps he should go back to being a coach cos he doesn't look cut out to be a top class manager to me.

I said last season that I think that he isn't good enough. Look at this seasons signings for example. Bent £16.5m, he could have got Bojinov and Elano for less than that. A playmaker and a better striker.

He will probably be sacked soon and replaced by Ramos.

He did a good job of raising spurs up a couple of notches but now when you look at their side the holes are pretty easy to spot. Even with King and Dawson back you'd have to be slightly concerned and their midfield.
