He's an average Manager at best, and appears to be tactically naive; no wonder the board at Spurs are worried, his decisions against Everton were appaling.

All top teams have a terrific spine to the team, specifically in central defence and midfield - Spurs don't.

Thats unfair Spurs are a much better team than when he took over and have played a lot of entertaining football in the last couple of seasons.

I'd agree with that. My step-dad and my best mate are both Spurs supporters and are always saying that the state of the club now compared to the Ardiles/Francis/Gross/Hoddle/Santini days is much healthier. What has happened is that expectations have risen at Spurs, which is always a dangerous thing. Yes Jol makes some strange tactical decisions, but any Spurs fan would have given their right arm for two 5th place finishes and two cup quarter finals and a semi final a few years back.

Closing the gap or overhauling one of the current top four is a huge task. It's only a couple of seasons since Arsenal were unbeaten for 49 games, and now some people expect Spurs to finish above them. It's a big ask.

each to their own on the "entertaining" mate but spurs were most certainly not bottom of the league when jol took over

                      Blimey, that's normally indicative.

I must say I'd laugh my head off. My Spurs mate has become so sanctimonious...so hung up on this "English players" bull****, and forever mocks (MOCKS!) us and Rafa for being "full of foreigners".

                      **** him, **** Spurs and **** Jol!

apparently huge bets have been placed so they had to close the books

                          Spurs' league positions:

                          2007- 5th
                          2006- 5th
                          2005- 9th (Jol's first season)
                          2004- 14th
                          2003- 10th
                          2002- 9th
                          2001- 12th
                          2000- 10th
                          1999- 11th
                          1998- 14th

Don't rate him though, he spent a lot of money during his time there.

I can't imagine even the Spurs board are that stupid to sack him after 2 games...

In my humble opinion he is a ****ing ace manager and has turned spurs from nobodies into the team people are/were talking about realistically breaking into the top 4.

Now all of a sudden he should be sacked. I swear to god if spurs sack him this side of christmas I will personally go and smack the chairman in the mouth, its absolutely ridiculous that the guy has been booed off after 2 defeats.

**** spurs have no class :whatever:

Spurs fans are a joke. I remember them booing their team off at half time against Seville last year.
                              Great support :whatever:
Well, here we are in a room with two manky hookers and a racist dwarf. I think I'm heading home.

They are a fickle bunch. My mate was at White Hart Lane a few seasons back when they got booed off at half-time in a pre-season friendly against PSV!
