But he always played on the right for Fulham (or at least mostly did) so it's not entirely unknown to him. I just think his constant injuries have caught up with him and if he is to get back on form he needs a consistent run in the team.

They went mad on CM a few years ago and not bringing in good ones at that, he wasted alot of money on poor players........

Could be the case of a good player in a **** team, which made him stand out more so then playing for Spurs who are bigger with better players and he cant reach their level but could comfortably at Fulham etc.......

He's too one footed and head down(Baros syndrome) Spurs like to play down the wings and he clearly cant work there. They desperately need Lennon although his final ball isnt always there.

It's only two games into the season FFS.

Jol took over on a run of 5 successive defeats a team who were competing with last seasons Man City for the most ludicrously goal shy team ever to grace the PL.

I'm not quite sure what you class as entertainment but Spurs games were full of goals last season and they played neat attacking passing football.

              The great knowledgeable Martin Jol

Regarding Agger, whom Liverpool have bought from Brondby to supplement the central defensive talents of Jamie Carragher and Sami Hyypia, Jol was also critical. "You can see they are in another bracket when they can pay six or seven million for a full-back like Daniel Agger. That is what he is, because he plays on the right side of defence. If they think he is a centre-back then I hope that's where they play him if he features against us."

I used to like Jol, but then he said this in the build up to a game against us and I became extremely bitter...

                What a clueless ****.

Tottenham visit Anfield for a Premiership fixture given added spice by the comments of Spurs manager Martin Jol yesterday. Jol was dismissive of the rebuilding job carried out by Benitez on Merseyside and also questioned the worthiness of this week's big signing Daniel Agger.

Jol said: "People say Liverpool had slipped in the past few years, but they were always in the top four or five. Tottenham were not, and yet now we are fourth in the table, so maybe we have done a better job than Liverpool."

Not all the time and the Carrick - Davids partnership looked very good for a while. Shame they bought in Zakora to replace Carrick which looked a good buy at first but of late all of his bite seems to have gone and their midfield is completely toothless.
