In some respects he's been a bit of a sacrificial lamb. Whoever took over from the fat one was always going to struggle. Fat Sam had built that team over about a decade. Sammy was cheapish to employ, so he'll probably be cheap to sack.
Sadly I think it's inevitable.

I really rate Alladyce

The mans an idiot. Spent all summer supposedly preparing newcastle and couldnt get together a decent midfield. My god they have a **** midfield. Takes his team to Derby and leaves Obafami Martins on the bench, chooses Ameobi instead.

Then brings on Martins for Owen when 1-0 down in a move of clear tactical genius. ****in idiot, his team couldnt even score against Derby ffs

Only 1 man to blame, Allardyce. Never ever thought much of him.

Owen was injured to be fair. I dont like Fat Sam though, or Newcastle for that matter. How they can claim to be a big club astounds me when they've not won anything for over half a century. They seem to think that because they get 50,000 turning up that qualifies them as massive which is obviously bollocks because any one-club, big city would be the same.

Been talking about Bolton to my mate at work who supports them. He says things are ominous for Sammy. They've got a UEFA Cup game, Derby and Spurs coming up so he reckons if they dont get anything out of that lot he'll be off.

When you get players gesturing to the bench going 'what am i supposed to be doing?' its not a good sign. In fairness, Sammy has tried to do things his own way by playing decent football but the players who are still there are used to the hoof system and he's contributed to his own downfall by buying players who dont know their arses from their elbows.

It really depends on what you mean by the size of a club though doesn't it? They do have a big and passionate fanbase and that to some extent does make them a big club and they certainly pay fat wages. Obviously most fans of top 4 clubs judge clubs size by their historical success in winning things - in which case Newcastle are far from a big club.

I think you have to believe that you can get something from those games (at least the first two) if you want to manage in the PL to be honest. If you get a bit of momentum in those then you would fancy a crack at Spurs - so it is a pretty good set of fixtures to have at this point if you ask me.

I think Sammy has tried to change too much too soon there.
Bearing in mind that he kept all of the best players there, i would have thought the change to a more fluid passing style would have to be gradual rather than immediate in order to make sure Bolton remained a ****ing hard team to beat while they changed their style.

I feel for him but sadly i think the writings on the wall for Sammy.

Sammy Lee has bought some very average players this summer and hasn't really been helped with some of his more established players like Kevin Nolan.

He is in some trouble though and I don't think he will be in a job at Christmas.
