And what must the players who worshiped Mourinho be thinking? He's just been replaced by a mate of Roman's who played a major part in Mourinho's 'sacking'. I find it staggering that Grant has anything to do with one of the best sides in world football. I find it astounding that one could make a decision such as this because of a friendship.

I am willing to put money on it that Avram Grant will have the same impact on the premiership as Christian Gross mistake. Poor guy will be a laughing stock within weeks and if he stays for the whole season (which I doubt) Chelsea will finish outside of the top 4. We will never have a better chance of winning the league than this season. It's **** or bust for LFC now. We have to think of nothing else but the premiership. F*ck the CL and the cups, we must focus on the premiership.

If Mourinho was under pressure to introduce a style and swagger into Chelsea's play, it appears they may not see that under Grant, according to Borowitz.

Think you are spot on with your first point though. I think Roman's completely clueless about football. You see the camera pan to him every now and again during a Chav game and he looks one of those dementia mentals, staring off blankly into space, rocking back and forth slightly, with that silly grin permanently on his face, looking completely non-plussed by it all.

He probably watches teams like Barca and Arsenal, and the scum last season and thinks "Why can't we play like that?" I think he's in for a nasty shock when he realises how influential Jose Mourinho was to Chelsea, it was ugly at times yes, but 60 odd games unbeaten at home in the league, 2 league titles, 3 domestic cups and 2 European cup semi finals. How many other clubs would sack a manager with that record? Absolutely crazy.
