the scary stuff is that he is still so young, just imagine him with a bit more experience, will be lethal on the pitch!

yeah, he could easily be in for a few bad injuries with his type of game, but lets hope he isn't.

Just checked up on his stats, and adding last nights 4 goals gets him to 41 goals in 49 appearences (5 of those games as a sub).

Looking at shots on goal this season he had made 91 shots before last night so that more or less gives him a goal ratio pr shot on goal at about 0.4

and he made 10 assists so far this season.

              He's not a patch on Jean-Michel Ferri

The sheer brilliance of his performance last night was flabbergasting. Lets hope Masch and Maxi can have a quiet word in his ear at the World Cup and we'll swap him for Riera

He's absolutely amazing, a phenomenon. The best player I've seen in 30 odd years of watching football.

I looked over to my mate after the fourth goal last night and said..."better than Zidane?"

"Yeah. And it's not even close", he replied.

Granted I am not old enough to compare him to Maradona, but he's the best footballer I've seen in my lifetime.

Haha no worries...I had other texts which I didn't dare open for fear of ruining it. Yours merely hinted at what might be happening and I was very pleased.

the 4th goal, me and my mate just started laughing..........in fact when he scored i think i kinda laughed "**** off!" just in awe. When the ball came back to him off the keeper, he almost seem to stop, think to himself **** this far too easy, waited, and then thought nah, just smash it in through his legs.

                            He is a ****ing jedi

Zidane is an anomaly in terms of players listed as all time greats in that he was rarely the one scoring the goals and even to some degree directly making the assists. He did though form a key part of many of the most successful teams of his era.

Messi is without doubt a true great - in some ways though I think it is hard to rank him at this stage as he has made all his achievements in a truly excellent side - even if he has been the exquisite cutting edge of that side for some time. His record for Argentina for example is less that 1 goal in 3 slightly worse that Christiano Ronaldo for the notably less good Portugese and far less than the roughly 1 in 1.5 games boasted by big Ronaldo.
