If he had simulated striking Dida would Celtics punishment been more severe?

What UEFA did, and rightly, was to look on the incident for what it actually was as opposed to being pedantic and going by the letter of law.

Fan was an idiot - shouldn't have done what he did but there was no harm meant - got what he deserved.

Dida was a dirty cheating ******* who tried to make something of the incident that it wasn't - got what he deserved.

Although I wouldn't be surprised if if Dida's ban was suspended on appeal.

I think Dida's ban was well deserved. The culture of deceiving the officials needs to end.

As for 'striking' Dida, I don't think he anything like struck him. Not unless we're going to call all innocuous physical contact like the shaking of hands, kissing, or patting on the back 'striking' as well.

I know other players feign injury, but you’ve got to agree that his reaction was worst than anything we’ve seen before. Tapped on the face, falls to the floor after a couple of steps, carried off on a stretcher with an ice pack on his face. Pathetic.

It’s a shame that the suspension wasn’t more than two matches.

he may be on his own mate, but just give your view. and he's entitled to be on his own if that's his view. if your view is strong enough, it'll hold water just by putting your point without belittling or being just on the wrong side of provocative.
