I know other players feign injury, but you’ve got to agree that his reaction was worst than anything we’ve seen before. Tapped on the face, falls to the floor after a couple of steps, carried off on a stretcher with an ice pack on his face. Pathetic.

It’s a shame that the suspension wasn’t more than two matches.

Yeah Celtic got fined but without their lax security this incident would not have happened. Milan have been severely punished where as Celtic have gotten of relatively lightly.

The focus of this fracas should all be aimed at Celtic. Footballers when on the field of play should not have to worry about some tit getting onto the pitch never mind some tit getting onto the pitch and assaulting them.

True enough, but I don't think he was assaulted and it's not as though the fan crept up on him.
I think what happened to Celtic is pretty standard, fine and a banning of the fan by the club.
What happened with Dida was new (well, I've not seen it before), and I think totally justified. Milan suffer, but he represents them.

Not wanting to split hairs with you John but what the fan did was by the lawful definition assault.

Granted Dida's reaction was totally OTT.

I'd have closed Parkhead for a game and given Dida a two match suspended sentence.
