On RTE radio this lunch time Tony O'Don was laying into Stan and that the FAI board are meeting today and they surely cant let this go on
Kerr wont get near it. I thinK Dave O'Leary is waiting in the wings for it IMO
...but im not sure. I would like a World Class manager or at least a top manager we haven't had one in a long time and at least McCarthey done well with us and Big Jack before, remember the summers when we were in World Cups and Euros they had the whole nation in Party mood great days, but look at it now
.....Hiddink does a great job and worth it to pay him the big bucks look at Russia now.....
I'm not sure if we can afford or attract a big name as manager. We've just invested a lot of money in the Eircom League, and the FAI's main objective seems to be pushing that rather than pushing for Senior success. Dave O'Leary would probably be better than Staunton, what's he doing at the moment? Nothing?

I think you're deluded if you think we can attract a top class manager like Hiddink.
Whoever comes in isn't going to have a particularly good team to work with, it has some potential, but not a great deal, and the financial package that the FAI can afford is pretty small compared to a lot of other jobs.
I really hope that O' Leary never gets the Irish job. He'd be insufferable if he took charge of this group of young players.
I've something wrong with me side, have done for 2 months now. Doctors just can't tell me what the feck it is
it was a cold you had when Halo3 came out
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
* After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Nothing much living off the money he made from Leeds and Villa ID SAY
I saw him in Shannon Airport two weeks ago with the wife
When you feel like you're done, you are not alone........
He was the wrong appointment to begin with, I always thought that, was gutted when he was appointed. Enough messing about by the FAI and just replace him.
At the time, I wasn't happy with his appointment, I expected a more experienced name. I was happy that he had Robson beside him though(although that's not been the case since then). I was prepared to get fully behind him anyway, as you have to. I do think it's time he went though, but I will still support him, if he's here for the next campaign, and I think all real supporters should too(at the games anyway). Either that or they should stay at home. And stay at home in the good times too. Fairweather supporters are the worst kind.

I heard Ton O at lunchtime. Paul Lennon of the Star said this morning that the decision to sack Staunton was taken last night.
God help us if O'leary is the replacement.
The best manager we had was Mick, but he was hounded out by the media on the back of Saipan
"With Ron Yeats in defence, we could play Arthur Askey in goal."

I think that's a very reasonable point of view.
I would be very unhappy if he stayed on and if he does I can see him doing more damage than good, but if he's still here for the next campaign we'll just have to make the most of it and give our team our full support.
