I posted this on monday in the gambling thread. Kev Nolan happens to be a friend of mine.

He said that gartside wanted chris coleman but he would not come. he is happy in spain and is doing well. Their second choice was megson, a surprise but he obviously sees something in him.

          I can't see it though.

not much, well for the last few weeks he hated him.

He said that he is a good coach, but not a very good manager.

Nicky Hunt said exactly the same

Im still shocked that he was a choice and even 2nd choice puzzles me, there is many more managers better than him

                  Saddle up boys.

It's time for the great Bolton relegation extravaganza.

The poor sods don't have a hope, do they?

.....surely bolton can do better then megson
I seem to remember him saying on telly that someone at West Brom was phoning up football chairmen looking for managers and badmouthing him. Bizarre story.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Exactly my view. Paul Jewell would have been very high up on my list.

Megson is a **** choice for manager. I'd be going mental if I was a Bolton fan. I read somewhere that in a poll only 1% was in favour of Megson's appointment. Says it all really.

Mandaric must be pissing himself laughing. He has got £300k for a bloke who has been in the job 6 weeks.

Bolton are going down. I wonder what the odds are on somebody else being manager by the end of the season.
Twin boys - now arriving late August 2008.

Its gonna be Fernando and Gerrard if I get my way!

Merson taday on Gillette Soccer Saturday talking about Megson and bolton and he was baffled as to why he was choosen so then he comes out with this "....sure Megson couldnt get a job at tesco's the last 19 months"

To which Sterling replies "I didnt know he applied for a job there"

And who hadn't even signed a contract. ****ing bizarre appointment. Bolton deserve to go down but I've a feeling that they might just stay up.

If Anelka stays they have a chance if not it will be a hard job to stay up

Derby are doomed and I reckon Wigan will go down this season so Bolton will be battling with Birmingham, Sunderland, Reading, Fulham and Middlesbrough for the last relegation spot I reckon.
