I don't think we should sign him...we were in for him when he went to the barcodes, but I wouldn't have matched their bid then, especially considering that we only got 8 million for him when he went to Real Madrid. And, especially after his first season with Newcastle, I have been convinced that the Michael Owen who played for Liverpool Football Club lives on only in our memories. I'd pick him up on a Bosman, but that's about it.
Furthermore, we've now got a guy with a bit of pace and his best years ahead of him named Fernando Torres. That's all I have to say about that.

Sorry to upset the Owen lovers here but i've never liked the midget. Besides the fact he's WELSH and chose to play for a foreign team he's a mercenary and doesn't deserve the respect heaped on true Liverpool Icons & Legends like Rushie, God (in particular) and Kenny, Keegan etc.
Michael Owens priorities are (in order) :-
1. Michael Owen
2. England
3. Whoever pays his wages

Maybe some people don't understand that a player will get injured a few times the first year after he has been out injured a long time if he plays week in week out.
The body can't cope with playing that often at the highest level because it isn't used to do that.
That's probably the big reason to why Kewell for example hasn't played more than he has done the last weeks.
Sam should have done the same with Owen as Rafa has done with Kewell, take it easy and think about the player first and the team second, in short, think more long term.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Every manager knows the score. If a player is desperate to play for his country and puts that before the club, then sell him or rest him to keep him fit.Originally posted by Kaip View Post

I watched that in Kentish Town with my son and daughter and around 30 Arsenal fans. It was a good evening.Originally posted by Dhavlos View Post

.
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.
