But what has he done since? He has failed at every job since he was sacked by England only someone ignorant of the facts could dispute that. There are players who are still playing for England who detested Hoddle hardly good for moral if they bring him back.**** OFF HICKS AND GILLETT WE DON'T WANT YOU.

Capello can handle big egos without any problem. He did that at Real, Milan and Roma.
His teams play excellent tactical football, not pretty but effective. England don't have enough good players so they will need an excellent tactical manager.
Capello, Rafa and Lippi are probably the three best tactical managers in the World.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Hardly regulars.
All I'm saying is, he's the best choice for an Englishman IMO, but an Englishman is not the best choice.

For me Mourinho is a good manager who makes decisive substitutions, but tactically he is poor. I think this can be summed up by his persistent ploy of hoofing huge long balls to a centre half like Robert Huth playing up front the last ten minutes.Originally posted by Red Chilli View PostWhat about Mourinho? Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Yeah, Mourinho who won the title 4 years in a row and was unbeaten at home when Chavski manager and recorded a record number of points in the english league and his team scored a record number of goals.Originally posted by Reece View PostYou mean the Mourinho who consistently throws his CB up front when his team are in trouble?
Mourinho who won the UEFA cup and Champions league with a minnow like Porto.

How can someone "tactically poor" win what Mourinho has won?
The times he's thrown Huth up top have basically been against top managers like Rafa, Fergie, Wenger.
He's not the BEST tactical manager, but he is one of them IMO.Originally posted by Gordon Brown

Okay a better way of putting it would be "comparativelty tactically poor".Originally posted by Red Chilli View PostHow can someone "tactically poor" win what Mourinho has won?

He comes up short against better tacticians.
