There were **** loads of players better than Cantona just in the 90s, he'd get nowhere near a top ten. In fact, would he even make the top 10 strikers of the 90s? I don't think he was better than any of Weah, Batistuta, Ronaldo, Romario, Baggio, van Basten, Edmundo, Stoichkov, Zamorano, or Suker for starters. It's not anti-Manc bias, it's the plain truth. They love him as much as they do because he was an excellent player of great flair, had a bit of charisma, and was their talisman. He's nowhere near being one of the games greats though.

Yes, they are fans who wouldn't have seen these players and this poll is pretty much insignificant, but you would not disguise the fact that he was the one pulling the strings for them at the time, and they had a great team.

Do some research mate. I'm sure most of the fans growing up during that period would say so. It's just silly not to recognize Cantona as being a great player. He didn't do it long enough probably, but his talent was there to be seen.
