Sanchez paid a lot of money for mediocre ****e in the summer.

Good news is that there are some really awful sides in the league this year. Fulham are no worse than Middlesborugh, Wigan or Sunderland.
I think Middlesborough have some decent players and if they ever get Mido fit they will stay up IMO. Sunderland however are terrible and despite looking better since Jewell took over I think Derby are too far adrift. Which leaves Jan looking very interesting with who Wigan, Fulham and Birmingham manage to sign probably being the key to who else goes down.

Be interesting to see if Fulham find any money after Sanchez spree.

Its a surprising appointment but I think it is a good one. He does seem to talk sense when he is being interviewed.

Sanchez did a shocking job in bringing in a lot of Championship level players, at least with Hodgsons experience and contacts, he as at least a chance of bringing in some new players that could see Fulham stay up.

There are some poor sides in the bottom six and its probably going to be any two from five going down with Derby already relagated. At least with a manager with experience of situations like this, Fulham have a chance.
Twin boys - now arriving late August 2008.

Its gonna be Fernando and Gerrard if I get my way!

It was reported earlier that he had accepted a position in Inter Milan's organization.

Promises a lot of low scoring games in the future of Fulham.

He is one of the best technicians in the game. I remember him in one episode of Last Word where he outshone Andy Gray who kept and contradicting his thoughts

He certainly has a range of experience that no other English managers possess. His willingness to go abroad to learn should be a lesson to some of the managers who bleat on about how they have 'done their badges' and so should be considered for the England job.

He lost to Sven which is a shame. He is a great tactician, might have done well with England

Don't worry though because people are still able to post ill-informed crap (whether or not it's masquerading as postmodern, ironic WUMery) as you so eloquently prove.

                          Why do you bother, Pete?
                          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Just to tie this in with another famous thread but "dyslexia" has been researched extensively and there is some very compelling evidence that it is due to a lack of "baby talk" to the child as an infant. It does irk me the way some people talk of it like a disease. I mean I could claim my lack of premiership standard footballing ability is a disease too. Dysfootballia. It's just that some people's talent lie elsewhere, not necessarily in academia IMO.
