They came close though, they played some lovely stuff and had a great attacking team, will be very interesting to see how this develops.

Having Shearer alongside will also be good, can't see him taking any ****.
    We come not to play.

Bring it!! Great news for the Prem. Very clever move by Ashley. I think Keegan will turn it round for them.

Ah well, there's goes my 10er on Hughes.

Don't think this is a particularly good appointment, it's not like he enjoyed huge success with England nor with Man City.

He’s damaged goods. He admitted himself he’s short of what’s required at the top level – what the **** are Ashley and Mort thinking?? He went stale at City and they didn’t play the swashbuckling football the deluded Geordies are after. City were largely turgid under Keegan.

              Best man for THAT job.

How I'd love LFC to play his brand of footy. With a top defense too of course

                  Great for the premiership.
not too great if they're in the Championship next season

Yes Shaggy but it seemed obvious he did not enjoy it himself at City. I am sure that he will love being back 'home' at the barcodes and it will make him and his team perform much better.

Interesting one. Don't know what to think about this, could be a disaster or a resounding success. They will be riding the wave for a few weeks thats for sure.

Well, City fans might argue that he never really did much managing.

He didn't enjoy it because he did a **** job and bought **** players.

We'll have to wait and see but I am convinced this is yet another catastrophic decision by Newcastle United.
