Apparently he's agreed in principle to take over in May. Still waitin for it to be made official though.
Thanks for the update.
. Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

They were saying last night that he won't be part of the team. But he may have some role. I can't see Trapattoni not asking Brady for some advice, doens't mean he'll have an official role though. I wouldn't mind seeing Brady in some role. Maybe even with a view to him replacing Trapattoni in four years, to keep some continuity.
Just thinking about this. Have we ever had a manager before that's actually won anything of not before? Ok, Kerr had won a few under age titles and and Irish league I think, but I don't think any of the others had won anything. You'd have to go a long long way back to find one. This is a giant leap forward.

That's what I had been thinking. It would be nice to have Brady groomed as a successor to take over when Trapa finishes up. I know Brady's management career hasn't exactly been stellar but I think he could do a good job.

It certainly is. It's exciting to have such an outstanding and experienced coach as our national team manager. It's a real coup for us. Kudos, for once, need to go to the FAI for securing such an outstanding coach.
