    Thanks for the update.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Here's an article from the Examiner

Well, here we are in a room with two manky hookers and a racist dwarf. I think I'm heading home.

          Good news all round.

Although has anyone noticed a worrying symmetry in our appointments and appointments by the English FA.

They appoint a talentless ginger clown who presides over some of the lowest points in their history and fails miserably.

They appoint an Italian coaching legend in the hope of a brave new dawn.

Looks like the FAI have been taking notes.

News on the radio this morning is that Trap turned down the England job.

The only reason we got him is down to Brady.

                    Brady to be his assistant?

                    Could be a good team.

They were saying last night that he won't be part of the team. But he may have some role. I can't see Trapattoni not asking Brady for some advice, doens't mean he'll have an official role though. I wouldn't mind seeing Brady in some role. Maybe even with a view to him replacing Trapattoni in four years, to keep some continuity.

The Examiner is saying that Claudio Gentile could be his assistant.

Just thinking about this. Have we ever had a manager before that's actually won anything of not before? Ok, Kerr had won a few under age titles and and Irish league I think, but I don't think any of the others had won anything. You'd have to go a long long way back to find one. This is a giant leap forward.

Pleased? He'll be delighted. He practically wet himself with excitement when the prospect of Trappatoni came up after the Brazil match.

That's what I had been thinking. It would be nice to have Brady groomed as a successor to take over when Trapa finishes up. I know Brady's management career hasn't exactly been stellar but I think he could do a good job.

It certainly is. It's exciting to have such an outstanding and experienced coach as our national team manager. It's a real coup for us. Kudos, for once, need to go to the FAI for securing such an outstanding coach.
