I remember how when Crouch was in vogue i had a discussion saying Adebayor was better, got battered for it
You should change your name mate. I keep confusing you with Fredo until I read what you say and then realise it can't possibly be him as you actually talk sense.
he has a wicked shot on him as well, doesn't need to swing his legs far for a powerful shot, and that can be extreamly helpful in tight situations. like his goal against newcastle last weekend blasted it in the corner with very little space to work with, been very impressed with him lately...
"I have decided to escape, to defy the shogun. Today I will begin walking the road to hell. But you will choose your own path. So, soon you may be seeing heaven. Choose the sword, and you will join me. Choose the ball and you join your mother, in death. You don’t understand my words, but you must choose. So… come boy, choose life or death."
"You would've been happier if you'd chosen to join your mother in her world. " - Ogami Itto
Someone said that on here back in the close-season, and I said he was wrong.
I still believe, at that time, Crouch was the better player, but now, however, it's a very different story. Adebayor is almost unrecognisable in his improvement.
Obviously he needs to sustain it like Henry did and Drogba does, but at the moment he's almost unplayable.
Heh, sometimes you've just got recognize the potential and look beyond the odd gaff in front of goal etc. It was there in Adebayor just like it was in Drogba... both suffered from unwarranted criticism in their first season or two.
Crouch had a great season last year by his own standards - the only problem is his standards aren't incredibly high and he's progressed as far as he's ever going to progress. I sometimes feel sorry for Crouch because (and I say this as a big detractor), he's a decent footballer, but has been and always will be hugely limited by his physical attributes.
Oh absolutely – he is severely hampered by his lack of pace, strength and mobility. If he had those attributes he’d be pretty much top class in my view. Technically he’s got everything you want…apart from real heading prowess.
As for Adebayor…he showed some potential last year but never threatened this kind of form, in my view.
I always hark back to the very first impression he made on me at Anfield, playing against us for Monaco in the CL. He was appalling, really appalling. This was more than a gaff or two in front of goal (I think he would’ve been delighted with that!) – he didn’t seem to be able to run, couldn’t control a ball…..he looked like he’d barely played the game before and cut a pitiful figure. I laughed when Wenger signed him.
I reckon he’s the most improved player in the league.

Are you an arachnophobe Polo? If so your fear isn't that irrational as he resembles a tarantula
Nope, I've actually had a tarantula on my hand before
Anyway I'm not afraid of him lol I just don't like him. That said if he came up behind me and whispered something with that eerily soothing voice of his, I might be pretty scared.
aye and that's the problem, he's getting cocky. Like Henry. Did you see him after his second over at the fans? Shaking his head in a yes motion about 50 times implying "I'm the ****ing man, I'm above humanity"

Well he is the man. Him, Ronaldo and Torres are the best players in the Premiership at this moment.
