Someone said that on here back in the close-season, and I said he was wrong.

I still believe, at that time, Crouch was the better player, but now, however, it's a very different story. Adebayor is almost unrecognisable in his improvement.

Obviously he needs to sustain it like Henry did and Drogba does, but at the moment he's almost unplayable.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Adebayor has everything you want from a target man. Great strength, good skill, excellent heading and discretely quick. I remember him having a race with Vidic earlier this season and beat him even though Vidic had a head start.

I think it's mostly about confidence for him and Wenger has given him that. I'm quite certain we would have similar but for some reason Rafa's team do not walk on the pitch with confidence. Maybe because we are set up to destroy rather than create. Sad times indeed.

He certainly does seem to know how to find the "back of the net!"

For me he typifies Arsenal this season. I keep expecting him to have a bad run, as I do Arsenal, but he just keeps on scoring and as a consequence Arsenal just keep on winning. He is a beast in the air as well, much better with his head than Crouch and a better finisher from what I have seen.

              Very short of confidence indeed.

It looks at the moment as though Adebayor is fast becoming Arsenal's Drogba. I see he's scored yet again tonight.

For my money Drogba and Torres are the best strikers in the league. How close to that bracket is Adebayor? How good a player do you think he is or can become?
well I am surprised he is doing so well, knew he was skillfull but didnt think he would be a goal machine. I for one am glad I have him in my fantasy footy team

Everytime someone says, "such and such" is on fire i always think about Richard Pryor and his story about lighting himself. It makes me laugh a little bit inside.

Well if that post doesn't have a whiff of lavender about it, i don't know what has.

He's certainly got fire in his belly, again hideous to see in reality, But that temper of his needs a little tweaking, although he keeps it in check for the most, when they're winning anyway.
But in answer to the question, the lad has almost everything, skill, guile, great even fantastic in the air, the height he jumps is superb, 1st touch brilliant. Not sure if he's the fastest but an excellent player, only getting better.
Wish we had him along side Torres, Deadly. I believe El Nino will get even better too, paired up with an equal up front for us would be a dream to see.

Do you think Torres will outscore him in the Premiership this season?

Adebayor has 16. Torres has 11.

I thought Adebayor was rubbish until this season.

He has been very impressive so far this year though.

It remains to be seen though whether he has truly stepped up to become a top class player or he is just having a hot run of form.

I remember how when Crouch was in vogue i had a discussion saying Adebayor was better, got battered for it
                                We come not to play.
