Just how good is Adebayor?

I think when Henry left Arsenal most people assumed it would van Persie assuming the Frenchman's mantle but, so far, it's been Adebayor.

It looks at the moment as though Adebayor is fast becoming Arsenal's Drogba. I see he's scored yet again tonight.

For my money Drogba and Torres are the best strikers in the league. How close to that bracket is Adebayor? How good a player do you think he is or can become?

I think Adebayor is the ideal striker for Arsenal's style. I doubt Drogba or Torres would do any better for them. I would put him close to the same category overall as those two and he is young enough to improve further which is scary.

FWIW I thought van Persie was set to give them a cross between Bergkamp and Pires but would need another striker with him. For me he remains one of the most efficient players in the PL in recent seasons - possibly only Ronaldo is in the same class for turning possession into goals and assists but he is more involved in play from deep.

Really? It's not like me to 'like' players from rival teams, especially very good ones, but I kinda like him.

He has a lovely accent ....a very melodic and endearing way of speaking English. It's nice.

When I first saw him I couldnt help but draw comparisons with Kanu.

Fair play to the guy though as he has been outstanding and he went up even further in my estimation when he butted Bendtner! Now he looks a mouthy, arrogant prick!
