He was playing far up the field at the start of the season as well, I think its down to having a bit of pace at the back again. At the start one of the DM's was always in the other teams half winning the balls and putting the defence under a lot of pressure making it hard to get out of there own half.

he is fookin awesome isnt he. its like having an extra defender and an extra midfielder. like momo v barca every game. except of course masher can control and pass the ball like a world class player should. and lately we've seen him beat a man or two.

When you think that the ****e paid pretty much the same for hargreaves and carrick as we've done for Mascher, its laughable. I just pray to Christ that Rafa gets the money to make 2/3 more big signings; a forward to play with/off Fernando, a creative/classy wing man and a new left back.

What amazes me about him is that he's not exactly a big lad, but he still somehow maintains a rock-like presence on the park. You'd look at him and think he'd be easy to bully out of the game but he's a monster.
