What match was that tackle/assist? Was it against Derby?

Yeah, assuming you mean the one that went straight through to Torres. That one was class because half the players ran towards Torres for scoring the goal and the other half ran towards El Jefecito for the assist. They obviously appreciated the class in the assist.

Proof yet again that Rafa can be trusted not to waste big money.

And I think Rafa & Eljeficto can pull it off.
There was a moment on Tuesday night when Masche ran at Cesar to hurry the clearance. He hesitated, bless him, obviously realising he was the furthest man forward but had a quick look, saw all was well behind him and continued.

Masher would be even greater if he learnt how to shoot, Sissoko must have been giving him lessons

True. Only Makalele is similar in the prem at the moment. He reminds me more of Gattuso than Keane though.

What amazes me about him is that he's not exactly a big lad, but he still somehow maintains a rock-like presence on the park. You'd look at him and think he'd be easy to bully out of the game but he's a monster.

What an amazing player Mascherano is turning out to be. Rafa is developing one hell of a team that could be together for a very long time.

I think now that he is settled he has become more and more pro-active. Off the ball, he is directing play and with his engine i can see him getting close to 10 goals next season

                              .

Mascher's only flaw is that he cant shoot to save his life.

10 goals from him is wildly optimistic and beyond realism IMO.
