I was watching the United game today and not for the first time I got annoyed with players doing really small things like standing in front of freekicks to prevent them being taken early and little tugs to stop counter attacks being started. I rarely think they are worth a yellow card of themselves but as it is teams can use it as a tactic and along with kicking players out of games it just ruins the flow of a match.
I would like to propose the idea of ether individual or team technical foul counts. So if it was for a player say three technical fouls equals a yellow (I would make 5 a red but that is not the key point). Alternatively a maximum of say 15 for a team before a player chosen by their manager is dismissed.
Anyone think there is any merit in this idea?
