It's easy to say that he was a wasted talent there, but he must have saved them from going down countless times.
I used to strangely quite like The Dell. Never went there, but I seemed to spend my childhood watching live Sky Monday night games from there, usually littered with stunning Le Tissier goals.
I remember John Barnes scoring from about 50 yards there once, trickling it into the back of the net as Beasant ambled back. Souness was their manager then too.
Dreams come true. Without that possibility, nature would not incite us to have them.

I used to like the Saints actually, i used to love watching Le Tiss, Pahars, that baldy lad Marsden(?) and when Strachan was in charge they played some good stuff with Beattie and that Fernandas lad.
Just shows you when a club even like Southampton goes out of the Prem, things can just continue to fall. Scary."Let me say for the record, I am not a gangster and never have been. Im not the thief who grabs your purse. Im not the guy who jacks your car. Im not down with the people who steal and hurt others. Im just a brother who fight back."

They used to have some brilliantly weird foreign players, the likes of which you don't really see anymore (unless you're Fulham).Originally posted by Marky View PostI used to like the Saints actually, i used to love watching Le Tiss, Pahars, that baldy lad Marsden(?) and when Strachan was in charge they played some good stuff with Beattie and that Fernandas lad.

For some reason my dad picked up an XXXL ecru kit from somewhere. Berger 15 on the back. I've claimed it and now play 5 a side in it.Originally posted by SNFT View PostThat's the one, horrible neck on it though

also his loyalty to Southampton. that has to be admired.
Pretty ignorant comment above mate.

'kin ell I'm obviously getting old.
The good old days and Southampton to me means Mick Shannon , Dave Watson and Kevin Keegan or when I started going to the game Kevin Bond , David Armstrong and Steve Moran.
Le Tiss was only a few years ago - nowhere near long enough to be reminiscing about
