    Awful news.

He's only missing the United game.

    RIP Mrs Lampard YNWA.

I doubt he'll play against Liverpool next week to be honest.

I know I wouldn't be able to if my ma died.

You don't know with these footballers though Dirk was back playing fairly quickly.

True, but can you imagine putting yourself in front of a set of away fans who will no doubt be up for a bit of 'light hearted banter'?
I don't care that it's Liverpool fans, there's bound to be some reference to Frank's mum.
It would be a shocking disgrace, but it could happen.

With a funeral likely to be next week, I doubt I would be in the right frame of mind to play until after that.

No way mate. There was no reference the other night and there'd be no reference again.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

              True.

I wouldn't be able to do it.

Not from the majority but I'd be amazed if there wasn't one or two horrible comments from individuals.

It really depends on the character of the person involved. Some people might want to get back to work straight away. What is the average compassionate leave you get from work for the death of a parent? I think most places only allow something like 3 days.

Well I think that goes without saying, sadly, but, unless you were sat next to or near the horrible *******(s), no-one would know about it.

Hopefully. He does take corners though but I've never been to ****ford Bridge so not sure where away fans sit.

I think Lampard will be desperate to play on Wednesday and fully expect him to. It will give his team a lift, which is not good for us though.

                              Sad news indeed.

Tactically speaking for next week, I expect Essien to replace Lampard anyway. With his loss, I would be even more surprised if he played so soon. Funerals take a week or so to arrange.
                              Oh I don't know.
