Nic83's bum buddy Seidou Keita has signed for Barca for just over £10mill.
Barça paid the €14million release clause in Keita's contract at Sevilla to take him to the Camp Nou, where he will sign a four year contract, with a release clause set at an all-but unreachable €90million.
Keita was happy to see the deal finally completed and is looking forward to the chance to prove himself in front of the Barça faithful.
"I had many offers, but I have liked Barcelona for a long time," he told reporters.
"I do not like to speak too much because I usually do my talking on the field, not off it. I will just say that I hope to contribute a lot to Barça, as I have done at Sevilla."
The Mali international midfielder becomes the first signing of the Josep Guardiola era at the Camp Nou and is delighted to have signed for such a big and well respected club.
"I am very content because Barcelona are a great club. Negotiations went smoothly because I was glad for the chance to play for Barça, although clearly the negotiations between them and Sevilla were more difficult."
Keita will become the ninth African player to play for Barcelona, following in the footsteps of players such as Mendonça, Suffo, Eto'o, Toure, Amunike, Okunowo, Babangida and Serigne, who have all strutted their stuff at the Camp Nou.
Guess they wont be going after Xabi then
