Hold the **** up now. I don't personally know Harvery and his comments seemed very straight forward with the way it was presented, i.e. racist/bigoted whatever. I have no idea is Harvey is racist, but from his previous posts I would say he is not racist.

Now he has since explained himself and has basically said he's talking about African footballers and I still don't agree with that and have a problem with it. I don't see how African footballers are anymore moody, greedy or less trust worthy than any other footballer from any other continent.

I don't recal having any disagreement with Harvery and I always respect what he has to say, but in my view on this occassion the original comment was racist and his follow up is bull**** and prejudiced. I call it how I see it. If the rest of you want to say it's political correctness gone mad then that's up to you, but I would question your judgement.

Look mate, i can see why you took offence to the original post. It was terrible wording on my part

But i stand by my thoughts on African players being moody and or greedy. Its nothing to do with the colour of their skin, or where they are from. Its just an observation. Eto'o, Drogba, Adebayor, Diouf etc etc. We have also had terrible luck with the quality of our African players, they have largely been ****e.

French players are moody also, black, white and Muslim. Just like Argies and Brazilians can be dirty cynical little *******s. Spanish/ Portuguese players dive about, and can also be moody ****s. Theirs negatives for each countries players IMO.

In this context though we were talking about an African player, so thats why i singled them out.

Hope that sort of clears it up

Harvey, WTF has religion got to do with anything?? I am not stirring, honest, but adding the Muslim bit seems a bit out of order IMHO.

Okay...your call. I disagree. While I'm not sure I agree with Harv I know what he meant - and he certainly wasn't implying all Africans are not trustworthy.

I think it's fair to say, at this relatively early stage of their development on the world stage, there are still problems with the mentality/attitude of some African players.

oh FFS. This is like a bloody Partridge sketch

France has many Muslims does it not? Im just showing that its a diverse country, and they are still moody players be it white, black or even Muslim. Its not the race/religion, its the country

You're really touchy when someone touches about that mate. He never meant it this way, it's been well documented in this thread, so please don't add to it.

What about Lee Bowyer, Paul Merson, Ashley Cole etc are they Africans or just scumbags?

What? Are you implying African players have attitude problems whilst players from other continents don't? Thats a sweeping generalisation if I didn't see one.

One player who was African who didn't have an attitude problem I felt was Momo Sissoko. Had a brilliant start to his career, got injured, replaced by the brilliant Mascherano, didn't go moody and waited for his opportunity, knew he was playing crap and agreed to move to Juve.
