Does anyone know anymore on this... do they pay less than the other 3 of the top 4 maybe?
i seen something very recently and it was also pointed out by arsene himself, arsenal actually have a higher wage payout each year than we do!!

i was astonished when i first came across this

**** lets offer £30m+ for the pair? Would love Fabregas here at liverpool and Walcott too if we could stretch it. I bet if Rafa was here when Arse first looked at him we would have snapped him up.

I think Arsenal are in **** if Adebayor follows Hleb and Flamini out of the club.

It's not like they are losing 3 bit part players, but 3 of their best players. It sends terrible signals to the rest of the team and I would not be surprised if van Persie and a few others follow them.

money, their wage structure is very tightly maintained and when players are told that x club will triple/double/whatever their wages then their heads do get turned. Guess the ethos at the club is one that all of the players fully believe in

I'd heard of him. He played against us at Anfield for Monaco in the CL. I remember thinking he looked exactly like Kanu from a distance but was absolutely ****.

The main gist of your post is right though - I pissed myself when I saw "that donkey" had signed for Arsenal and thought my chuckling was justified after a less-than-impressive first season.

Then last season he improved a ****-load and looked just about top class at times.

FWIW I think he peaked - I honestly can't see him maintaining that level, never mind improving on it.

If they get £25m for him they'll be pissing their pants.

Actually I think that is where Wenger is a genius. He can spot when a player is about or has peaked and ****s them off quick smart.

              Pires ,Viera, Anelka...

Yep totally agree. You can add Henry, Petit and Overmars to that list.

                  Agree about Wenger.

Disagree about Adebayor to some extent though. I don't think he will look like the top class goalscorer he did for a large part of last season on a regular basis - however he is a great forward for Arsenal. He has great pace, good control and hold up play that allows him to bring others in. If he can add to his awareness he will be the focal point for their attack for a long time to come in my opinion. If they could get van Persie fit for a sustained period then I think they would make a fabulous partnership.

I agree with DWW. Wenger is a genius, and Adebayor is not a £24m player. The guy will need to become more clinical to justify such a price tag, especially if he'll continue playing as a lone striker.
