Always disliked spurs with a passion, many a time i've mentioned to my mates that if they were ever successful they'd be right up there with Utd for being the most arrogant ****s. I remember being estatic when arsenal beat spurs in the league cup semi in 87, then looked what happened.............

Nice one. I take it you are both Londoners then Roy? I can't see a scouser growing up supporting West Ham. I am originally from Bethnal Green so really, West Ham were, along with the O's, my local team.

I was born in Liverpool but my son was born in Bow and went to school in Bethnal Green where it seemed sensible to support your local team.

Just to echo the others, welcome to the site fella, its really refreshing to see a fan of another club come on here to talk footy in a sane fashion rather than just act the ****... although to be fair, its usually just ManU and Everton fans that get their kicks that way

You guys are having a well interesting summer, statement of intent I thought with the Modric deal (and, to a lesser extent, Dos Santos), but with Berbatov and Keane possibly on their way off (for good money though) Ramos is going to have some serious work to do now on your forward line. Not quite sure who's available to replace them and its gotta be a blow if both do go, but I still reckon with a good start Spurs have the overall squad to make a real impression on the upper parts of the table with some wise acquisitions.

Yep agree with what Mr M said, welcome mate. It will be a breath of fresh air to have a neutral point of view on goings on at Anfield - a sense of perspective when the hot heads are slating players unnecessarily or when others are singing the praises of players who perhaps are playing substandardly. So it will be interesting to see how you see things, both on and off the pitch, throughout the season.

Thanks Shaggy....and for what it's worth, one of my perceived greatest injustices in the world of football is that having won the European Cup FIVE times, not one of your managers has been knighted.
Manure win it twice...well, once and were the beneficiaries of Bayerns arrogance on the other occassion, and yet both times, their bloody managers have been knighted. Yet you lot did it when....well, I won't go on.
I grew up watching Highway, Keegan and Toshack etc. I laughed from a caravan in Clacton the day I saw you paid £444,000 or whatever for some scottish geezer called Dalgleish! Ha ha I thought. Keegan has gone now. They won't replace him!

I also remember once...way back, I took a girlfriend to see us play you lot at the lane. 20 mins gone and it read
TOTTENHAM 3 - 0 LIVERPOOL.
Ended that way too.
Wembley...1 - 0 up in LCF before losing 3 - 1...
The list goes on.

No doubt more memories will emerge during the season.

And of the top four...you are the only ones who remotely resemble the club that has kept its identity.

Anyway...enough niceties....Just wait 'til the yids come to Anfield.
