    .................Gomes
    Hutton..Woody....King....Bale

    ...............Jenas
    Bentley................Modric
    .............Arshavin

    .......Berbatov........Bent

In my opinion that is a good team. Throw in Pavlechenko and Dos Santos and you have a very good team.

However, i feel that Ramos likes Zakora and that will be your biggest weakness. You desperately need to get rid of that donkey and buy a proper defensive midfielder is you want to compete.

The most underated in my opinion is Darren Bent, he will surprise plenty this season now that Keane and Defoe are out of the way

Looks like you will have good players, if rumours come to fruition, but my biggest worry is them all gelling, and either one or more of the big name foreign signings not settling.

But hey, i'm always as pessimistic about my own teams chances so it's no big deal, then, when all is lost i argue with everyone that we'll catch up and come back and win the league, even though we are 12 point's behind at half way point.

Berbatov is refusing to play until he gets his move, Mascher would destroy that midfield

Also (and it might sound obvious now Keane's gone) but Spurs lack a real leader.

Thought they'd finish ahead of Arsenal last year but until they find a Mascherano and a John Terry I think 5th is the best they will manage although I daresay there'll be some excellent football played at the Lane this year.

Hey, great encouraging words from knowledgable supporters.

We too are generally pessimistic. I think all true fans are most of the time.

Can't argue with any of the points made above.

That's actually a very good line up on paper.

But we are the only team with Mascher though......they should beat the crap lower table sides easy enough.

man this reminds me of that summer when Spurs almost signed rivaldo and a shed load of others.
I have a feeling dos santos will fade away, he never imprseed me at Barca and if he was any good then barca would have kept him.

another season of promise for spurs. hopefully it'll end in a disaster, but i can see you doing well in the cups. i think you'll end up finishing about 6th. it'll be interesting to see how your 100 million pounds worth of new players gel.

I still thinks Spurs are too weak defensively and in central midfield.

It does look good on paper but I think the midfield lacks steel.

Modric and Dos Santos are very lightweight and may find the going tough at times.

                          Jenas is crap.

The back line looks good but I would have serious concerns about King and Woodgate missing large chunks of the season through injury and the back up isn't great.

I always disliked Bentley when he was at the Gooners for obvious reasons. Then, I really tore into him over his refusal to play for the U21 England side at the Euro 's.

However...I have always admired him and now!!!!!!!!! HE PLAYS FOR US.

Don't get me wrong, alone, he won't make a team great but with Modric, class in the great Spurs midfielf tradition, Dos Santos starting really confidently and the prospect of....Well, Who knows who else is coming to the lane!

If, as is being reported, Arshavin and Pavlychenko come too...(I know, jumoing the gun) but IF they do....Wow.
We may be fighting for a top four place.

The glue that makes it all stick for me is Ramos. He is dedicated, quietly gets on with the job and has 'winner' written all over him. Somethhing we haven't had since Billy Nick!

I know, I should save this for the Spurs site but....ah well. You have me for the season so let me indulge before it all goes tits up!
Mate, firstly welcome to the site.

I'm really confused. I imagine all of this was explained a while ago, but how does a Spurs fan end up being on a Liverpool site for the year?
                            Really?

Hi Tatters mate. If I may be so familiar!
I work with Mr Michael and I got so fed up of getting half way through messages over his shoulder before he turned them off, I thought, sod it. I'll join up myself.

I once spent the season on a Middlesborough board and had some great laughs, debates and arguments.

The difference now of course is that here, I am the supporter of...for want of a better word, sma...No, less successful club.

I have a certain amount of humility here because I can't argue with 5 european Cups and 5 million league titles. So I am spending a season here with the only one of the top 4 that I have any respect for.

My opinion is that Liverpool are the only one of the top four to have kept their integrity as far as becoming a corperate club is concerned. Probably something to do with the community and tragedy that has blighted the club, certainly in my lifetime.

Utd went through the horrific Munich crash of course but their lack of community seems only to enhance the fact that I feel they use the disaster as a ....well, let's say I'm sceptical.

Anyway...Hope to have some good debate here mate.
