We could have sold Suarez and done the same. They've not bought anybody as remotely good as Bale so depends how you want to look at it. Selling your very best player rarely improves your team in the long term.

This is soooooo bad, we have Suarez for one season, if we're lucky, if we don't make Champs league he's off, and with Spurs having recruited in the way they have, Arsenal almost certainly will buy some Madrid players once Bale is done. imo. so they'll be potentially stronger too with both already having finshed above us.

We really need a heap of luck this season. imo.

Would be funny if the squad didn't gel and the majority of these signings turned out to be overpriced and poorly utilised... just seems like their squad is overcrowded. Too many players. Depth is good and everything but there too many "marquee" signings has the potential to be a bad thing!
