the next year is a different competition. Start afresh with the best league teams in Europe imo. Anyway, the FA have chosen their criteria and who am I to criticise the FA.

I think our situation in 2006 showed how FA and UEFA sees the situation, if you have won the competition you should be able to defend it and to me it makes perfect sense. Otherwise we wouldn't have had any CL in 2006, although not very succesfull it was the right thing for us to be there at the time.

To bad for Spurs, but achieving fourth in the league is not really a result it's just a secondary finish and that should never have precedence over winning the CL.

Spurs fans are the most deluded out there.

Lots of my mates are Spurs fans and they have been trying to take the piss saying how they would rather finish 4th than win and trophy and how even ronald mcdonald would turn down the managers job etc...serves them right imo,they think they are above the Europa league and that the carling cup isn't worth trying to win.

I really hope they lose all their top players now and they implode just like leeds.
