I just think they've reached a plateau and will not kick on from there. The last 2 years have proved that. They got in a CL position two years ago and have been stagnating since then. Okay, Villas Boas does seem to know what he's doing but he's still unproven to this level. Much like Rodgers you would say but Spurs is Spurs, so they'll always be punching above their weight a little bit. They've got a bit of the delusions of grandeur syndrome. Are we winning?

Plateau is a lot different to a sinking ship. They've flirted between 5th and 4th for a number of years, and all it could take is a major run and a bit of luck to have an exciting season. The inclusions of Soldado and Paulinho are important for that push. They're not exactly sitting back and hoping for 5th and a lucky break for 4th.

We'll see. Sinking ship was hyperbolic, I agree, but not sure they are that good without Bale's goals/efficiency from midfield.Originally posted by Phoenix07 View PostPlateau is a lot different to a sinking ship. So even though they've finished above us the last 4 seasons in a row, by 11 points & 17 points in the last 2 seasons... you still think they are not a better side than us? Probably the same way you think Bale is average. There's one thing sticking to your guns... and other thing just ignoring the blatantly obvious for the sake of not changing your opinion.Originally posted by Nigey View PostWe'll see. I don't know what fantasy barometer are you using to come to this complete and utter delusion. The results and standings are there for all to see for the last 4 years, they have clearly been the better side for the last 4 years and they deserve credit for that.
Will they be a bette side than us this season.. i hope not, but sure we'll see come the end of the campaign.
Did someone from Spurs shag your missus or something?
this must be true.... only explanation.
