Anyone a little teeny bit jealous of Spurs at the moment? I am.

It does seem like an exciting season for them with a lot of promise. To be honest though I think it will be for us too. I quite like that we have a distinct identity in the team now and the idea of an inform Sturridge and Suarez in the same team with Coutinho seems like it could be as good to watch and effective as anything in the league.

I think the neutral fans is going to get a great season this year.

Don't know mate - sounds like an argument we're using to make ourselves feel better about the fact that spurs have strengthened significantly. They basically have 2 good players for every position. That's exactly what we want.

And if they don't click this year, they will next year. They've bought some top young talent - Eriksen and Lamela will only get better. ****ers. As things stand, I'd say they're favourites for 4th.

Who would you say is the current 'leader' of the Spurs team? To me, its just a collection of good young players lacking top end talent and without enough experienced talent. They've lost that elite talent who can win you a game from nowhere. They've not bought a real talisman like the Mancs did with RVP and relying on all these different languages/nationalities just work somehow in our league. Massive, massive pressure on a manager in AVB who miserably crumbled under similar pressure at Chelsea as well.

If Soldado can be the constant threat that he appears to be I think they will unite around him having not had anything like that for ages.

The lack of the right type of leadership in our team is something I worry about. The Notts County games was a good example of how we don't have someone that keeps us going about things in the right way (an Alonso type figure).

Spurs are just becoming the modern fan's wet dream. Closest thing I've seen to a Football Manager-like reality with just selling a player for stupid money and just spending a **** load as a result. If AVB pulls it off and they challenge for the top 2/3 never mind 4th, then he's a better manager than I thought. This Sunday will be a big test for him though as he's going to be expected to beat Arsenal.

Spurs have picked their targets really well, they've had little or no competition for the players they have bought/are buying, it'd be a different story if there were other clubs in for the likes of Lamela and Eriksen. Of course, it also helps when you're expecting a massive windfall.

They are buying a load of quality **** and throwing it at the wall............there will be a few that stick but i expect quite a few unhappy players around Christmas, Some of them will expect more than being subs and playing against randomikhistan in the Eoropa cup.

That's what i'd hope will happen too, as the thought of them all fitting in to a good ABC rotation policy is the stuff of nightmares for us and Arsenal right now.

On paper it looks like Spurs have stolen a march on the both of us, we'll just have to hope that on grass it's different, and that ABC somehow ****s up.

But based on the fact he had them finishing ahead of last season, it's a slim hope, but possible.

Rumours that they're going to loan at Holtby if they sign Eriksen. Why did they go to all that fuss and sign Holtby 6 months earlier then go and get Eriksen just to loan out Holtby. Weird
