It was all approved, now they have a legal battle in the high court, which means cost, and it will generate further delay, which means cost, plus they change the build schedule, which means cost, plus they have to move out of WHL and rent somewhere else, which means cost, and they will lose out on a season in the new stadium resulting in reduced forecast revenue, which means cost.Oh I don't know.

Living In North London all my Spurs mates are fuming. Part of the land is owned by a firm who makes kebab skewers ( I kid you not). After massive delays Spurs finally won a compulsory purchase order, now that's being challenged in the high court. The local feeling is that Levy so fancies himself as a wheeler dealer he couldn't bear being out manoeuvred so wouldn't settle for they wanted. The guy is such a dick. Same applies to the Billion price tag.

Of all the manufacturing operations outsourced for value you'd expect that to be at or near the top of the list.Originally posted by focusedonfootball View PostPart of the land is owned by a firm who makes kebab skewers ( I kid you not).

Haha. I love the idea of you forensically researching UK kebab stick manufacturing in the dead of night on the other side of the world , your face illuminated by the light from the screen.Originally posted by EwarWoo View PostIts actually these guys who've delayed it:
Though surprisingly enough I did find 2 manufacturers of wooden kebab skewers base in the UK, 1 in Dover and 1 in Newark.
Bloody insomnia
'I think I can discount the guys in Ashby de la Zouch, they seem to be making mainly ornamental steel and ironwork, with no mention of the takeaway trade in their customer references section'.
The internet is a wonderful thing.

So ...
Cain Hoy state they are considering a takeover bid, only for Spurs to immediately issue a statement to say they are not in 'takeover negotiations' with Cain Hoy, but that they have met Cain Hoy.
Err, what? What was the point of the Spurs statement? Are they desperate for funding that they need to distance themselves from a potential buyer to ensure interest keeps coming through?
