it's a piss take ...devaules the meaning of getting to Wembley...but it's all about increasing revenue,so both spurs and the owners of Wembley stadium win.

We've seen the government hand millions a year to West ham and now the FA are doing similar with spurs. What the **** is going on with these subsidies in what is the richest league in the world? Is it a London thing?

Looks like the FA are tying to drum up some revenue.

Those Xmas parties don't pay for themselves

Not sure about now but Wembley cost a fortune and it needed to have semi finals etc to make the business case work. Are they swimming in cash or is it just a case of that revenue being very bloody handy?

I preferred f a cup semis being in the big traditional grounds

I think after the huge outlay they're looking of ways to slowly recoup what they've spent on it.

Anyone know what happens to the ticket sales, you'd image they'd be some sort of revenue share

It's not a corrupt deal like the west ham one

The west ham one is only a good deal if the option was a rusting empty stadium. Seeing there were other offers etc west hams protestations are arse gravy

I was wondering about that too, since it wouldn't be fair for Spurs to benefit from an extra 54,000 seats per home game.

Well they will pay for the use of Wembley.

Sure, but they'll be making a fair bit more than it will cost them, or they wouldn't be doing it.

It presumably is a win for Wembley and a win for spurs or else they wouldn't both be doing it.

Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a fee of £11m for Southampton midfielder Victor Wanyama, BBC Radio Solent understands.

It is thought the 24-year-old is undergoing a medical with Mauricio Pochettino's side.

A move to White Hart Lane would reunite the Kenyan with his former Saints manager.

Wanyama asked to leave last summer after interest from Spurs but ended up staying at St Mary's and helping Southampton to a sixth-placed finish.

Surprised Southampton didn't make a profit there, maybe last year of his contract, in any case 11m for him at 24 is sound business.

Yea, he's in the final year of his contract

Ordinary signing for an ordinary team. Went missing more times for Southampton than Mane.
