Not ideally suited but he's good enough to fit one of the more central positions. Plays pretty advanced for Spurs.
Klopp is a fan as well.

One of the midfield 3 - he gets into the team because he scores and makes goals so you find a spot for him.Originally posted by labourRed View PostAnother reason to hate spurs.

That's some crazy sheeit figures! Thing is I still don't think he's that great with the ball at his feet. Given the English 20 year old of my choice I would take Gerrard -> Scholes -> Beckham -> Lampard ->->->.....-> Alli.
Like Kane take the goals away and there needs to be something more there. Specially at international level. One tit for another.

Was gerrard 20 or 21 when he had his major breakthrough season?
also Lampard & Scholes were not great goalscoring midfielders in early season, and think beckham had been on loan at preston at that sort of age.
I think for 20 he has done a lot more than any of the above had at that age? unless gerrard was 20 for the treble season

Gerrard played at the back for a few games didn't he? Also, a quick look at the state of the pitches back then and Dele having plenty of experience at a lower level may have helped.
I'm taking nothing away from him though, his stats are fantastic. Shame we missed out on him.
He was anonymous last night, then scored a beautiful header, thats a nice trait to have.Vive la France

He reminds me more of David Platt than the likes of Gerrard and co.
Seems to have very similar traits to Platt. An ability to just ghost into the box and get on the end of crosses, a good finisher with foot and head, plenty of energy to make lots of runs from deep, and often being anonymous when not scoring.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.
