There's no mental gymnastics that means CL winning the final is a good thing. It's massive for them to win it. Unless they spunk all the money in the window on wasters, again.

While being utterly **** in the league and wining the Europa final by being even ****ter and courtesy of an own goal Angry Ange has received a £2 million bonus from Levy and spurs

Plus he'll get a pay off when Levy sacks him

Live scenes at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium today…

Daniel Levy and Ange Postecoglou were spotted this morning grappling with an IKEA flat-pack trophy cabinet, presumably in anticipation of finally having something shiny to put in it.

Levy, looking like a man trying to decipher the Rosetta Stone, held the instructions upside down while Ange, ever the pragmatist, muttered Aussie obscenities at a rogue Allen key.

Nearby, a Europa League trophy stood awkwardly on the floor, almost embarrassed by the chaos unfolding around it.

For a club so famously allergic to silverware, assembling the cabinet might prove harder than actually winning the thing.

Dude, that trophy room is filled to the brim of stuff like"really the best team in the league" awards. "Most cunning manager" "the better team against Liverpool for 46 minutes" etc

Spurs sack Ang - lol - It looks like levy doesn't like winning things and has popped that genie

They lost 22 out of 38 league games, he had to go.

I know - But he had a massive injury list to contend with, had to play the kids more often than not and saw Sun fall off a cliff. TBH I'd probably would have given him until xmas with minimal backing and see how'd they got on

It's the best outcome for spurs and Ange. They need a rebuild and you can't give that money to Ange, and Ange can go and look for a job after a trophy without the embarrassment of more of the same next season.

Still a **** way to treat your most successful manager in decades.
                              Really?

I'd have given him till 2040 but I want to see them fail so I may be biased
