born in Liverpool but can't bring myself to support england, don't feel "english" but can't decide on an international team to support, been thinking about it for years but still can't decide, got both Irish and Scottish roots and have considered both but neither really grab me, suppose what I'm getting at is that for Liverpool my choice was made for me but now I can make my own choice I'm struggling, anyone else had same problem?

You should've started supporting them when we went all Spanish, like I did.
Now I can boast to people that I've supported them for ages....way before they won the Euros. Yeah. I even had money on them in the summer. I love them.

but I want a team that I'm going to stick with through thick and thin, I'm happily stuck with Liverpool as my club team and have no intention of supporting any other club team and think that the same principle should apply to international footy

It seems to be your natural state anyway. Also, sometimes it's nice to watch footy and enjoying it without any care for the result. Supporting one team is enough of a head wrecker!
