    international footy

born in Liverpool but can't bring myself to support england, don't feel "english" but can't decide on an international team to support, been thinking about it for years but still can't decide, got both Irish and Scottish roots and have considered both but neither really grab me, suppose what I'm getting at is that for Liverpool my choice was made for me but now I can make my own choice I'm struggling, anyone else had same problem?

I can speak a bit of Spanish and have considered it but starting to support them now would feel like jumping on the bandwagon, a bit manc-like so am a bit sheepish over that one, ta anyway

Manc-like? How so? I supported them all the way in the Euros, they have the most Liverpool players, they play good football and aren't cunts. I'd actually say they're my main International team tbh, **** England

You should've started supporting them when we went all Spanish, like I did. Now I can boast to people that I've supported them for ages....way before they won the Euros. Yeah. I even had money on them in the summer. I love them.

Ah ok...well If you don't support anyone by now then don't bother?

but I want a team that I'm going to stick with through thick and thin, I'm happily stuck with Liverpool as my club team and have no intention of supporting any other club team and think that the same principle should apply to international footy

Why not just support none? It seems to be your natural state anyway. Also, sometimes it's nice to watch footy and enjoy it without any care for the result. Supporting one team is enough of a head wrecker!

I supported Argentina because they were the best ditry *******s out there. Seemed a good enough reason at the time.

My ancestors were red indian so....USA? I still love England tbh and get passionate when we play big games etc. But like I say, if we lose. Lots of easy targets to pick on!

There's always the feeling that Scousers feel they're the only English people that feel non-English. Well, shock horror, but some people from the south feel disenfranchised (sp) from Englerland too. And for exactly the same reasons, ie not wanting to be associated with certain players
