He's joined Bristol City, meant to be a decent player and GJ is a pretty good at buying players from the lower leagues

      I think it's a fascinating concept.

The ebbsfleet idea at £35.00 per year is perhaps a little bit of fun

50,000 fans went to Istanbul paying in excess of £500 for ONE match (albeit a very good one). This is a one off payment to own a part of your club for life.

All the money that people line G&H pockets with by buying a programme, a shirt etc. Add that up over one season.

I agree that the ebbsfleet idea is great, but at a non-league level.

The £500 is a part share, and they can call up the £4500 in the future can they not ?

The sums involved are too big. Like the fella said £35 is a computer game or a good night out, something you can go without for a weekend and in return you get to be part of a living, breathing football club.

If this was the early 90s when Utd and the like were valued at £20M then ShareLiverpool might have a hope in hell. But when the owners want £400M there's no chance, especially in times like these with the credit crunch and world economic downturn. Finding fans with 5,000 quid to spare is not going to be easy. Which is sad, because it's the solution I'd like to see.

                    Sadly true.
