In fairness, some of the big games like Inter v AC or Roma v Lazio would be interesting, its just the other tripe such as Reggina or Empoli v Sampdoria or some other crappy team in a half empty stadium that puts me off. Actually, even some of their so called big games are pretty dire to watch.

Last season James Richardson on the Guardian podcast was saying that they still ask for very high prices which is why 4 let the thing go. I can't imagine they got the audiences they once would have and so it was a gamble that didn't pay off. I think not allowing a channel to start it at a budget price for a few years and build a following is a mistake. I used to really enjoy Football Italia on a Sunday back in the day and was liking occasionally seeing a match when it was on channel 5."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

I actually thought a few of the lesser teams I saw played more attacking and interesting football than a lot of PL teams. For people interested in tactics it is a very interesting league at the minute. Such a contrast between certain teams and less hectic than the PL so you can get a feel more for what a manager is trying to do.Originally posted by looprevil View PostIn fairness, some of the big games like Inter v AC or Roma v Lazio would be interesting, its just the other tripe such as Reggina or Empoli v Sampdoria or some other crappy team in a half empty stadium that puts me off. James Richardson at the end of one of these ridiculous shows on Setanta hinted, and when I say hinted, he pretty much spilled the beans that Setanta were in talks with the Italian FA in regards to buying the rights. He had to retract those comments on his blog stating that Setanta were no longer in talks because it was proving too difficult to strike a deal as the season was already under way and as someone has already mentioned, the rights like they are in Spain are split.

Setanta retracted the deal because a betting website is showing the games free online to people who have an account. Not sure if you have to deposit anything into the account but might be worth just sticking £10 in if you do and then watch the games online.
I think its http://www.bet365.com, not 100% sure.
I can get Sky Italia and their Calcio channels show every game live, so you could look at that. Digitalb also show loads of Serie A games, around 5-6 games per weekend seem to be on that.Last edited by Meols Kopite; 15-09-08, 04:12 PM.LFC News - LFCLive.net
