I remember thinking (obviously with a slightly different POV) that the hand ball goal was a problem. Imagining the media narrative if he had won it with that. I mean it was bonkers anyway but that... just after the war.... it felt like he knew that, and that the way he could fix it was by scoring one of the most beautiful and audacious goals you’ve ever seen.
