The squad that lost 3-0 to Wigan:

Robinson, Ooijer, Samba, Nelsen, Warnock, Emerton, Kerimoglu, Roberts, Andrews, Treacy, Pedersen, Dunn, Roque Santa Cruz, Derbyshire. Brown, McCarthy, Villanueva, Simpson.

      A real mix.

Great sense of humour. Such an attractive quality.

I'd agree that Alladyce would be a better appointment but could Blackburn afford his huge backroom staff and would he even want the job?

I thought the injury crisis tended to shape up over time - I agree though that his old school training methods don't seem a long term bet. I just think that given limited resources he would make them a team who would fight and that it might be enough as they do have some decent players as a lot of fighters in the squad. I don't think a manager like Curbishley for example would have much to work with give his style of play.

I think Allardyce would take most Premiership jobs. He won't get offered Sunderland IMO and he's been out of work for a while.

Geographically it would be a good move for him and he'd be a safe bet to avoid relegation. Whether he could keep Santa Cruz is another question but I don't see too many other options for them.

Good, now Blackburn should stop trying to steal all our youth players and coaches

Whatever happens they need to buy a new midfield in January or else they will go down

There was talk of Santa Cruz going to City for £18m in January.

                £18m Madness

Robbie Keane at 20 million means we can never laugh at the madness of others again.

                        breaking news now
"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.

"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

They got seriously tucked up with Jo. Santa Cruz is good, but he's never worth £18m.

Huntelaar cost Madrid £17m, possibly rising to £23m. Interesting to see how he does and how much he plays when the older, more horsey-looking version of him recovers from injury.
