Who's impressed people this season so far?

Believe it or not - given he had a poor game against us and continually handballed - but the lad Ilunga at West Ham has impressed me this season.

I think Paintsil from Fulham has done an extremely good job - I thought West Ham were quite quick in getting rid of him.

yes I think so to.
Faubert has looked decent at West Ham
Zabyleta and Guiredio (SP) at citeh seemed quite decent at the start of the season, but not seen them much.
Ricketts at hull
and strangely enough Cisse has looked like he has found his level at Sunderland and has put the goals away.

Stephen Ireland - well he has been nothing but outstanding in the last couple of months

Zaki - unheard off but performed very well

but over 2008 as a whole

has to be ashley young - i thought he was a huge huge gamble at £12m (i think?) at a time when iirc we signed babel for a similar fee and i reckon 9 out of 10 fans of any club would have prefereed babel over young at the same price - right now though, there is now queston that you would consider a straight swop for babel/young. turned into a very classy player.

This season -

Stephen Ireland has been a revelation for Man. City. Didn't think he had it in him. Now if only he would return to the International Stage.

Young & Agbonlahor have both been seriously impressive for Villa. Young has looked a class act for a while but Agbonlahor has really come to the fore this season. He has all the attributes needed to become a top class striker.

Bullard for Fulham has been excellent. He's a great little player and really makes them tick over.

Anelka has also been very impressive for Chelsea.

Ireland and Robinho the obvious ones. Didnt think Ireland had it in him, and i thought Robinho would be a massive failure.

I thought Bosingwa would be a waste too, but he's looked quality.
